The
purpose of these classes is to hone and develop the physical skills
of actors and stunt people for combat, action and stunts in theater
and film. Perform specific stunts and bits of action and develop
technique to act and sell the fight or violence. The goal of our
stage combat classes is to ensure safety and aid the performer in
helping to tell a story.
These classes are on-going and for beginners as well as trained
professionals.

EDWARD
JOSEPH WHEELER
Credits include stunts and stunt coordination for 11 films, 9 television
shows, including One Life to Live, and over 40 stage productions.
Edward has been teaching martial arts since 1988, stunts since 1996
and stage combat in NYC for 4 years. He is an AFAA certified kickboxing
instructor, founding member of Fight Builders, and an Awarded Advanced
Actor Combatant with the SAFD |
LAURIE
K MILLER 
Laurie has instructed in venues such as, Yale Rep, NYU Tisch School
of the arts, Vital Theater Summer Arts Program, Camp Broadway, Vital
Voices, Manhattan School of Music, Brooklyn Poly-Tech, Northern Westchester
Center for the Arts, Wing Span Arts and ASC.
Some recent credits include stunts for: As the World Turns, FOX network
shows such as FOX Files and Sightings. Recent features such as Sleepless
Nights and The Dueling Accountant. And she is the resident fight director
for Mercury Opera and MCT, a founding member of Fight Builders and
an Awarded Advanced Actor Combatant with the SAFD. |
